About Luxury Apartment Design
We believe a beautiful home is about proportion, light and detail, not square footage. Our job is to show you exactly how to get there in an apartment.
Luxury Apartment Design is an independent publication for people who live in apartments, condos, lofts and studios and want them to feel considered, calm and high-end. Most design advice is written for houses with unlimited walls and budgets. Ours starts from the realities of apartment living: compact floor plans, shared walls, lease rules, landlord-white paint and the need for every piece to earn its place.
What we publish
- In-depth guides covering luxury apartment interior design, small apartment ideas, studio layouts, color, storage and renter-friendly upgrades.
- Free interactive tools that turn designer rules of thumb into instant answers: a rug size calculator, art hanging calculator, color palette generator, room layout planner and more.
- Specific numbers rather than vague inspiration: how far a rug should sit from the wall, how high to mount a curtain rod, how many lumens a bedroom needs.
Our approach
Every guide is built around the questions people actually ask when they are standing in an empty room with a tape measure. We research established interior design standards, cross-check measurements, and write instructions you can follow in a weekend. When a recommendation is not renter-friendly, we say so and offer an alternative.
We focus on five principles that make any apartment read as luxurious: scale (furniture and rugs sized to the room), light (layered, warm and dimmable), texture (natural materials you want to touch), restraint (fewer, better things) and detail (hardware, trim and finishing touches).
Independence
We do not accept payment for coverage, and we do not publish sponsored content disguised as advice. Read more in our editorial policy.
