If like mine, your sweet little babies are growing up on you and you no longer need a changing table, consider holding onto that piece of nursery furniture and upcycling it into…..
a beverage cart!
So….I bought this little wood-and-laminate number that I saw on a Facebook yard sale for $20….
…..and made it into this.
The more I thought about it, I realized this piece is actually pretty versatile!
I can’t wait to use this on Christmas morning as a hot chocolate and coffee bar!
And now – my favorite use of this little changing table that could……
Strawberry Arnold Palmer……yum.
The use of this cart on our deck was my ultimate goal, since someday when we do the kitchen renovation we’ll have a place to store our liquor and barware. The cart is pretty light and easy to move, and I think it’s going to get a lot of use over the years.
In addition to using a changing table as a bar cart or coffee station, imagine it painted a fun color, with baskets for storage in a kid’s room, or with stacks of books and a fabulous globe in a study.
So – the moral of this story – hang on to your changing tables, mamas! You never know how you could repurpose it someday when your babies grow up on you, too!
I had tons of fun making mercury glass shelves for this beverage cart, as well as blinging it out with gold casters – quick tutorials for both coming this week!
